The Faculty of Public Administration and Management has two bachelor degree programs: Public Administration and Human Resources
The “Public Administration” license program is accredited by the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and allows the acquisition of general and specialized skills tailored to the specific requirements and challenges of public and non-governmental workplaces. The general competencies acquired at the end of the study program are as follows:
CG1. Knowledge, understanding and use of fundamental concepts and approaches in the field of economic and administrative sciences in dialogue and professional interaction with specialists from other fundamental areas of knowledge;
CG2. Applying and transferring in well-defined economic contexts the fundamental conceptual-methodological abilities in analyzing and solving practical problems at the level of employing organization / institution;
CG3. Analysis, synthesis and quantitative and qualitative interpretation of information / data related to the economic and social activity in order to elaborate the reports and studies necessary for the management of the organizations;
CG4. Integrated application of concepts and methods specific to economic and administrative sciences in formulating arguments and developing decisional alternatives for the employing organization / institution or at macroeconomic level.
The specialized competences acquired after the graduation program are as follows:
CS1. Evaluating, interpreting and explaining in an integrated vision the phenomena and trends found in the economy, society and in the management of public organizations;
CS2. Applying management methods, tools and techniques to the specifics of the public sector in specific areas such as: public administration, public service provision, public procurement, public investment, public projects, human resources etc .;
CS3. Knowledge and understanding of aspects governing constitutional relations between public authorities in Romania, aspects of organization, functioning and financing of public authorities and institutions in Romania and the European Union, relations between officials and public administration authorities and institutions, labor relations between hired personnel and employers’ institutions;
CS4. Knowledge and understanding of some technical and legislative aspects of urban planning, spatial planning and environmental protection;
CS5. Knowledge and use of methods and techniques for developing, implementing and evaluating national and European public policies;
CS6. Knowledge and use of information and communication technologies usable in public administration, training of working skills with specific tools;
CS7. Acquisition and implementation of the methodology for substantiation and elaboration of projects in the public sector;
CS8. Understand and apply concepts, techniques and accounting methods specific to public institutions.
The Human Resource Education Program is the future specialist in human resources, facilitating the acquisition of general and transversal skills tailored to the specific requirements of the human resources departments of private, public and non-governmental organizations. The general competencies acquired at the end of the study program are as follows:
CG1. Designing and conducting sociological research, collecting, processing, analyzing and intercepting social data, in private and public organizations, or in the context of cultural research, market studies, impact analysis, etc .;
CG2. Organizational environment diagnosis and management of social data systems;
CG3. Appropriate use of the applied sociological perspective;
CG4. Identifying the human resource development needs of the organization by applying specific methods;
CG5. Analysis of Human Resources Interaction.
The transversal competences acquired in the study program are as follows:
CT1. Apply rigorous, efficient, punctual and personal responsibility strategies to the outcome, based on the principles, norms and values of the Code of Professional Ethics;
CT2. Applying grouping techniques to empathic interpersonal communication capabilities and specific roles within teamwork;
CT3. Effective use of information and communication resources and assisted training (Internet portals, specialized software applications, databases, on-line courses, etc.) in Romanian and in an international language.
